Came to post this but someone beat me to it. This gets my vote for most unsettling historical footage.

I was in this tornado as a 12 yr old boy.  Neither my mother, sister or myself were injured, although our apartment was almost leveled.  It was on the ground all the way across the south part of town and across the south part of the base.  This area of town was all housing of different types which included an area of base housing.   From what I have learned since the tornado -  from aerial pictures of the damage, the path, the amount of damage, the type of damage and talking to victims  - I have decided that it probably a F5 and was a multiple vortex tornado.  Of course, I'm no expert.    Is there anyone else out there that went through this tornado?                 Sonny

We lived off base in Warner Robins. I was almost 5, my brother a few months old. Mom put us in the hallway, covered us with pillows or a mattress. The twister skipped our house but sucked up all loose items in the area (swingsets, toys, trash cans, etc) and dumped them in a nearby swamp, and demolished nearby homes. Communications were out for days. Family friend showed up next morning in his chopper to confirm we were okay ... Dad was, as usual, away at a training school (active duty USAF) and couldn't find out anything.

Has this been reclassified from an F4 to an F5? Based on damage and wind speeds, a revised F5 rating has my vote.
