Yes, this is great.  I think the most terrifying footage I've ever seen was of the group that runs into the back of a convenience store during the Joplin tornado.  You can't see very much but the audio is incredible.  I remember watching it a few days after the storm but can't find it on YouTube right now.  A lot of Joplin clips posted at this point.

The path of the tornado that the makers of this map have here is inaccurate.  The tornado initially touched down just south of Twin Hills Country Club and just east of Black Cat Road.  It quickly grew to around a mile wide and wabbled east-northeast infamously striking St. John's Hospital (now called Mercy) directly.  The tornado then continued to move E/NE with center points of destruction being 20th Street and Iowa St. then 17th St. and Range Line Rd.  The indication on this map that the tornado moved from NW to SE, and by default moved over less populated areas, is simply incorrect.

There were also 161 people killed (vs. 158) and the timing on this map is suspect as well.  The makers show the touchdown time being 16:34 (4:34pm), when solid evidence shows the tornado striking Joplin East Middle School at 5:40pm (17:40).  This tornado was horrific, but it was not on the ground for an hour.  I'm thinking the author of this section might have looked at a clock which was not "sprung forward" yet for daylight savings time.

I sincerely am not trying to be aloof or a know-it-all, I just think that this important project should reflect the correct information for a tornado which was the deadliest in six decades and the costliest in US history.  If they would correct the map, I will cheerfully retract my statement.
