The mapped track and time for this tornado is a bit off.

It began at about 6:45 am on or near Bucks Hill Rd. in Waterbury, collapsing a garage near the corner of St. Michael's Dr. It then picked up bleachers at Wilby HS and bringing them across the football field and continued due east just above Buckridge. A significant amount of damage starting at Buckridge continued north towards the Wolcott line, toppling numerous trees and causing debris all over North Main St.

From there, damage was scanty in Wolcott as it must've picked up above the valley where a stream crosses Welton Pond. It caused damage at a home at Forrestview and Spindle Hill Rd., then touched down on Beach Rd. at Longmeadow Dr. It then caused damage to three houses on Mapleridge. The middle house had 1/3 of its roof cut off. The two houses beside it had moderate damage. The tornado went between Beach Rd. and Spring Rd. toppling a number of trees destroying backyard pools before finally taking off again on the hill just east of Alcott Rd.

I was driving north on Rt. 69 just north of Pat's IGA when it must've disappeared above me. The rain turned horizontal and torrential rains came down the mountain.

My sister and her friend were camping in our backyard on lower Longmeadow Dr. and came in around 5 am because it was too humid out.
